Have you ever attempted to remove the seeds from a pomegranate only to end up with red fingertips? It's so annoying, it could lead you to avoid this superfruit all together. Let me show you the RIGHT WAY to remove the seeds from a pomegranate so you don't get caught red handed.
Step 1. Rinse your pomegranate and cut it in half.
Step 2. Cut the half in half and place it in a bowl of cold water.
Step 3. Use your fingers to gently remove the seeds (arils) from the white pith (albedo) that holds the seeds.
Step 4. The majority of the white pith will float to the top of the water. Remove that with your hands and discard.
Step 5. Strain the seeds in a small colander and remove the remaining pith from your seeds.
As you can see... I have a bowl full of tasty pomegranate seeds ready to be sprinkled on a salad, mixed into a smoothie, or snacked on right out of the bowl. AND NO RED FINGERS!!!
